Amaya Sánchez was born in Rafal in 1973. She grew up between patterns and fabrics at her parents’ workshop and this soon sparked her interest in design and fashion. At 18 she packed her suitcases and moved to Madrid to study at the High School of Fashion Design.

After completing her degree, her creative curiosity and passion for theater leads her to Lon- don in 1994, where she widened her training with the completion of a Postgraduate at the prestigious University of the Arts London, Central Saint Martins.
